Clovis B. Momon Scholarship Fund

Picture

The Haralson County Historical Society has established the Clovis B. Momon Scholarship Fund. This scholarship will assist a needy high school senior in Haralson County to further his/her education. Clovis was a beloved friend and devoted supporter of the Society as well as former Mayor of Buchanan. She was a schoolteacher for many years and was actively involved in many civic organizations until just before her passing.

Donations can be made at the First National Bank of Georgia in Buchanan (to the Clovis B. Momon Scholarship Fund) or by mail:

Haralson County Historical Society
Attn: Scholarship Fund
P.O. Box 585
Buchanan GA 30113

In order to raise money for the scholarship fund, the Haralson County Historical Society is conducting sales, with all proceeds going directly to the fund. We are selling cutlery, cookbooks, candles, and soup and dip mixes from Rada Cutlery. "Hope for a brighter tomorrow is made possible by a donation to the Clovis B. Momon Scholarship Fund by (YOUR NAME/BUSINESS), who paid for the snack item included in this bag. Study hard for a successful future!" These items will then be handed out at our annual Pumpkin Caper (October) and your name will be announced at the festivities as one of our generous donors.

If you are interested in a Rada catalog, please contact Karen Higgins 678.644.0743 (cell).
